PRIOR TO THE PROCEDURE
- Dr Cubas will ALWAYS require a preliminary consultation:
- Medical history. Patient examination. Pre-op pictures and patient’s measurements are taken.
- Selection of the most suitable treatment for the patient’s unique case.
- You will be given information about which pre-op tests are needed and when they should be carried out.
- You will be informed of the treatment costs.
- The treatment/surgery will be scheduled.
SURGERY
- Pre-op tests will be assessed by the anesthesia department’s staff and subsequently by Dr. Óscar Cubas. If there are any questions about the procedure, they will be solved.
- You will be given the documents needed for the surgery, some pre-op recommendations, the treatment document and post-op measures.
IMPORTANT ADVICE
- It is paramount to verify the medical credentials of your surgeon before having any treatment. Make sure that your specialist is actually a doctor and that he/she has a degree in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. You can find out at the Official College of Doctors, and at the Spanish Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery www.secpre.org
- Be wary of excessively cheap treatments. It is not uncommon to find unqualified doctors in this medical field. We fight against this issue within our scientific societies in order to reduce poor outcomes after falling in the wrong hands.
